Coming to a new church for the first time can be an overwhelming experience. We hope that we can answer some common questions for you to make your first visit with us a great one!
What to wear?
Jeans, T-shirts, flip flops, shorts, jackets, ties…you see it all. We encourage you to feel comfortable, and come as who you are. That is the most important thing!
What about money, do I need to give any?
We are excited to have you as our guest! Unless you call Sun Grove your home church, we don’t expect you to give. We simply want you to enjoy the Sun Grove experience.
Will I be asked to stand if I am visiting?
No. We understand how uncomfortable that makes some people. There are information cards available for you to fill out if you would like to be contacted or get more information.
Of course, after the service, there are people available to welcome you, talk with you or answer your questions.
What time are the services?
We have two services on Sunday mornings – one at 9:30 and one at 11:00.
Where do you meet?
Franklin High School
6400 Whitelock Parkway
Elk Grove, CA 95757
What will our kids do?
Click here to learn more about our Children’s Ministry (infant through 5th grade), and here for our Jr. High (6th-8th grade) and High School (9th-12th grade) ministries.
Do you have communion at Sun Grove?
Yes. We have communion once a month. Communion is for people who claim Jesus Christ as their Savior to take part in the Lord’s Supper. The Lord’s Supper consists of taking bread and juice that represent Christ’s body that was broken and blood that was shed as a sacrifice for us. You do not need to be a member of our church to take part in communion.
